In order to make the Walter J. Ong Collection materials more accessible to the public and to create online exhibits, one of our goals is digitize as much of the Walter J. Ong Collection as we can. Currently, our digital offerings include some of Ong's articles and essays, reviews, and poetry published in Saint Louis University publications; select correspondence; a number of unpublished lectures, including those from his Lincoln Lecture Series in Africa in 1974; unfinished and unpublished work, including material from Ong's unfinished book Language as Hermeneutic: A Primer on the Word and Digitization; over six hours of audio recordings of lectures and interviews; and a number of photographs of Walter J. Ong and his family. All material is available either as a .pdf document or a .mp3 file. |
