Hytelnet:  Archive of Telnet Sites

According to its creater, Peter Scott, Hytelnet was the first hypertext Internet directory compiled in 1990.  It provided access to library catalogs available via telnet on the Internet.  This site lists and describes those catalogs by geographical location and by vendor.  Links are no longer active.
