Digital pilot project from Duke University that contains images from the Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising, and Marketing History's "Competitive Advertisements Collection" from the J. Walter Thompson Company Archives. Contains over 7,000 ads from primarily U.S. publications dating between 1911 and 1955. The purpose of this project is to make historical advertisements available for research and study.
