Interlibrary Loan

Do you need classroom and/or research materials not found in the library collection? Interlibrary loan is the tool you need to bring these resources to you.

ILLiad is the library’s online system to request books not available through MOBIUS, as well as book chapters, journal articles, and dissertations.

ILLiad enables users to place, track, and keep a history of interlibrary loan requests from a personal online account. All transactions, including renewals, are done online. ILLiad also makes it possible to receive articles and photocopies electronically as Adobe PDF documents.

To use ILLiad, you will need to register to set up an account.  You can find the link to the ILLiad web site on SLULINK, at slulink.slu.edu, in the left-hand margin entitled “Interlibrary Loan”.

It only takes a moment to set up an account.  The average turn around time for journal requests is 1-3 days.  Book requests take approximately 1 – 2 weeks, as the book is sent through the mail instead of scanned and sent electronically.

As always, if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the reference department at 977-3103 or contact us through email at piusref@slu.edu.
