What is ERes?
Would you like to put materials on reserve for your students? Pius Library has 2 full-time staffers devoted to creating and maintaining course reserve material.
The traditional print system contains books and paper articles located either in the Reserve Room on Level 2 of Pius Library, at the Circulation Desk in the Law Library, or at the Circulation Desk in the Medical Center Library. Faculty may submit their list of reserve books using an online form or print forms
In addition to the traditional print reserves system, Pius has an online reserves system called ERes, which stands for Electronic Reserves System.
ERes contains electronic copies of articles, book chapters and essays, class notes, sample exams, and other materials accessible electronically with a password by anyone in that class. Students may obtain passwords from their instructors. ERes provides access at anytime without needing to come to the library or to wait for a print copy to be made available. Faculty can find links for online request forms or printable paper forms at eres.slu.edu.
Certain items may be available in both systems while others may be located in only one of the systems. You can also find forms online to request electronic and print reserves at libraries.slu.edu/ereserves/forms.html. If you have any questions, the ERes staff members will be glad to assist you. You may contact them at 977-3585, or via email at eres@slu.edu. |
