Conversations
with Dr. Gail Staines

Introduction

This is Gail Staines, Assistant Provost for University Libraries at Saint Louis University, welcoming you to a new and exciting podcast series called “Conversations.” Each month I will be talking with a SLU faculty member about their research and how libraries play a role in their individual projects.

Since 1818, the Saint Louis University Libraries have been home to rich collections, both print and electronic. Of particular note is the libraries’ deep collection in philosophy and religion, original works of Father Ong, and our Vatican Film Library that holds 37,000 manuscripts, or about one-half of the Vatican Library’s manuscript collection that is located in Rome, Italy.

Our new “Conversations” podcast series seeks to open up the world of how university libraries are used by scholars in today’s society. We hope you enjoy listening to them.
