MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Compiled by Lori Calcaterra and Chet Bunnell
Maintained by John Montre, Engineering Liaison Librarian
Last updated: December 4, 2007

This selective guide identifies resources for Mechanical Engineering found in the Reference Department of the Pius XII Memorial Library and on the Web.  This guide is not comprehensive; rather it should be supplemented with other guides for Pius Library such as Aerospace Engineering & Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, and Aviation.  Call numbers pertain to locations within Pius XII Memorial Library.

LIBRARY CATALOGS

The Saint Louis University Libraries Catalog is available on computers throughout the library, or with unrestricted access via the Internet. Access the catalog through Pius Library's home page. Searching can be expanded to include the MOBIUS holdings, the consortium which includes the Washington University Libraries and most of the other academic libraries in Missouri.

Books, periodicals and other materials in Pius XII Memorial Library are arranged by Library of Congress classification (call) numbers.  The broad classification for mechanical engineering is:

TA 352-TA 359 Applied dynamics and fluid mechanics
TH 4581 Power Plants
TH 7413 Solar Heating
TH 7687 Air Conditioning
TJ Mechanical Engineering and Machinery
