Access to the following resources is available to anyone in Pius Library. "In-library access" means that access is available in the Reference Department. Any resources identified as being available via "remote access" are available from the SLU Libraries Web site [http://libraries.slu.edu].

ABI/INFORM Global Edition.  1971-  .  ProQuest.  In-library and remote access.
     Updated daily.  Indexes and abstracts over 1,300 journals and trade publications in all areas of business and management, many with an international focus. Full text is available for approximately 600 of the periodicals in page image (PDF), text, and/or Bell & Howell's Text+Graphics format.  Examples of areas covered are accounting and taxation, banking and finance, economics, government, health care, human resources, labor relations, marketing, public administration, real estate, etc.

Academic Search Premier . 1975-  .  EBSCOhost.  In-library and remote access.
      Updated daily.  This multidisciplinary database that includes education provides indexing and abstracting for 8,040 scholarly journals from various fields and has full text for over 4,060 beginning as far back as 1975. 6,679 journals are peer reviewed.

LexisNexis Academic.  Start date varies by publication.  LexisNexis.  In-library and remote access.
     Updated continuously.  A subset of LEXIS-NEXIS.  Covers news, business, and legal information.  Use Business category for company and industry information.

Business and Company Resource Center.  1980-  .  Gale.  In-library and remote access.
     Updated daily except Sunday. Indexes approximately 1,000 business journals and trade/industry publications as well as 200,000 full-text company directory profiles and over 50,000 full-text investment reports.  Approximately half of the journals and trade/industry publications are full text.  Also includes brief industry profiles, company histories, company financial statements, performance ratings, rankings, product and brand listings, and association listings.

Business Periodicals Index.  1958-2001.  In-library.
      Latest 5 years in reference stacks, older Non-Circ Z 7164 .C81 B983 found on Level 5 East.
This is a print subject index to approximately 350 periodicals in all areas of business.

Mergent Online (formerly Moodys).  Coverage varies by information type.  Web.  In-library and remote access.
     Contains historical and financial information as reported by the companies for over 12,000 U.S. public companies traded on the NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq stock exchanges as well as historical and financial information for approximately 17,000 non-United States-based companies from over 100 countries.  Includes links to Edgar filings from 1993 to present for U.S. companies.  Annual reports in image format are also available.

This print index is divided into two sections.  The Companies volume indexes articles related to specific companies.  The General volume indexes all other news, business related or general.

     Updated daily.  This newspaper is part of the ABI/INFORM database.  It "is the financial newspaper of record" and "offers in-depth coverage of national and international finance as well as first rate coverage of hard news."
