Books To request the loan of a book not owned by Pius Library, complete the electronic request form available through ILLiad. Books requested must not be currently available through Pius Library or the MOBIUS network.
Articles You can obtain copies of articles from journals not owned by Pius Library by filling out the photocopy request form available through ILLiad. Requested articles must be from journals not currently available through Pius Library, or not available electronically through Pius Library's electronic journals or accessible databases.
Dissertations and Theses To request a thesis or dissertation not available at Pius Library or the MOBIUS network, complete the electronic dissertation form available through ILLiad.
Special Information about Dissertations: Some universities loan their dissertations if they have a second copy. The format may be hard copy, microfilm, or microfiche. There may be no charge or a lending fee up to $25.00. Many Canadian dissertations may be borrowed for free on microfiche from the National Library of Canada. Many American universities send their dissertations to ProQuest Information and Learning for reproduction. These dissertations can be purchased in an unbound format through Interlibrary Loan from Dissertation Express for $29.00. (Price effective 1/02/01)
Arrival of Materials You generally should expect most (not all) photocopies to arrive here within 5-7 business days (Monday-Friday). Books should arrive within 14 business days.
Notification Our preferred method is to send an e-mail message to your e-mail account notifying you that your material has arrived and is ready for pick-up. If your office is on campus, we use the Interoffice Mail system to send the material directly to you. Please indicate during ILLiad registration how you prefer to be notified when your material arrives. If you wish to change your notification method, you may do so in ILLiad. We will try to accommodate most requests; however, you must provide an accurate e-mail address for notification and an accurate office address for delivery.
