The Saint Louis University Libraries
constitute an extraordinary resource.  With its Pius XII Memorial Library, Saint Louis University has become internationally renowned as a research center.  The Library is the sole depository in the Western Hemisphere for the Vatican Microfilm Collection, described by one Oxford scholar as "the most important single addition ever made to the libraries of America."  It houses a superb collection of rare books, especially rich in early Americana, Medieval and Renaissance literature.  In addition, Saint Louis University's professional libraries at the Schools of Medicine and Law are widely used by scholars throughout the region.
