Our Mission
Saint Louis University
GREAT LIBRARIES ARE THE FOUNDATION OF GREAT UNIVERSITIES. The Saint Louis University Libraries build and preserve their collections to inspire discovery and investigation into ideas and issues, past and present. The collections comprise an ever-growing archive of human intellectual life and imagination, and catalyze the innovative teaching and research that characterize the Jesuit tradition of free inquiry. To achieve this mission, the Libraries implement effective technologies to gather, preserve, and deliver information, whenever and wherever the University community requires it, from their own collections and other sources around the world.

Lawrence Biondi, S.J.

Our Vision
THE SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES create dynamic learning environments for the intellectual community of the University to discover and develop new ideas by providing both virtual and physical spaces where information and the resources for scholarship are readily available.
