The Reference Department mission is to
pursue excellence in the provision and promotion of information services
to support learning, research and teaching at the University. The
Department strives to enable, guide, and mentor students, faculty, and
staff in the University community in developing lifelong skills in
critical thinking and information literacy. Reference librarians
use their subject expertise and their knowledge of the ever-changing
information environment to develop the collections and to provide
services that meet the needs of the diverse University community.
As a member of a greater community, the Department follows and supports
the mission statements of Pius XII Memorial Library and Saint Louis
University. |
