Check out your books at the circulation desk. You
also request and pick up items from Interlibrary Loan here. Your Saint Louis
University ID serves as your library card as well as your ticket into Pius Library.
Study rooms and typing rooms are available with a valid SLU ID. Lockers can be rented for
$3.00 per academic year. Two other service units, Interlibrary Loan and Reserve Room are
also part of the Circulation Department.

If your search at Pius for a certain book, article, or
other item is unsuccessful, you can request the materials from another library not in the MOBIUS Consortium by using Interlibrary Loan, located in the Circulation Department. If the book you need is
available in MOBIUS, the Missouri libraries' union catalog, request the book online using the
REQUEST THIS ITEM feature.
To request books not owned by any MOBIUS consortium library or journal articles not owned by SLU, please use
ILLiad, the Interlibrary Loan
request system.

The Reserve Room is on Level Two, above Café Libros and the Browsing Area. Here you will find materials that your instructors put on hold for your use, for either two-hour, three-hour, or three-day checkout. SLU also has an electronic reserves system (ERes). This area also houses the Media
Collection (videos, DVDs, and audio tapes) and the
Curriculum Collection. SLU students, faculty, and staff
may use a listening or viewing room for audio/visual materials that do not circulate. For assistance with the Curriculum Collection please contact the Reference Department on Level 1 or call 977-3103.
